Is it me or are you also getting embarrassingly excited about the coming weekend?

Why whilst in the middle of a meeting, does thoughts of glory and championship place finishes enter your mind? Are you alone? Is this normal?

Luckily, yes …….. its Kick-off time.

Its the time with all the highs and none of the lows that we Spurs fans have gotten quite accustomed to. Talks of top 4 finishes and cup wins have not yet come crashing down with defeats to Grimsby and we fans are all confident of a great season.

This season however is slightly different though isn’t it. It seems that The Others are not calling us deluded or calling bluff to our hopes based on former glories. Well, supporters of Arses still are but when did we ever take them seriously.

With our summer buys to strengthen our squad, can we find the consistency that we have lacked in the pass?

Our strike force is now arguably the most effective of the premiership and able to play against many types of defense. Our defense has been strengthened and hopefully our captain will play more of a part this season. Robinson had a bad season by his standards and should improve this season.

This leaves our midfield where we have just added Boateng, is this our weak link? Well at least we managed to keep our first teamers at the club this season and personally I think Zokora and Jenas will play an immense role in our fortunes. Guys like Huddlestone, Lennon and Taarabt has matured and will help out in the long season ahead.

The above has been discussed again and again but we are near to the time where we actually see it happen. Will this be a season remembered by Spurs fans in the future, will there be games that will be remembered for years, will you be there?

Who knows and who cares … lets get on with it - Bring on Sunderland.
